At the time of birth of the child if one of the parents is a legal American citizen then the child is given the title of an American citizen. Other than by birth and by blood a person might become a citizen of America is he/she qualifies for the Naturalization process. There are certain eligibility factors which need to be fulfilled. The person applying for the Naturalization process must be of 18 years and above followed by him/her having a permanent presence of about 5 years. A married person whose spouse is a citizen of America can apply for naturalization only after three years. The person in order to apply for naturalization must have the ability to read, write, and speak with understand English as he has to pass a test known as U Pass citizenship success program. A person should be decent and must have complete knowledge and due respect for America. After agreeing to all these when going for Naturalization the person have to present some important documents for verification along with two passport size color photos. All the required details have to be sent to the service center along with the fee. A fee of $595 has to be provided and $80 has to be separately given for biometric charges. After submission the person is called for finger prints and interview. This process is followed by decision making. If the person is granted citizenship then the final step is to take the oath of Allegiance to the US to become a legal citizen of America.
